The focus of the course is on reading, discussing what has been read, and writing compositions on discussed materials. Reading proficiency is important to the central purpose of the course. Students will be required to read in the target language then discuss and analyze the structure of text using targeted vocabulary to foster analytical skills and to reinforce comprehension. Students will be provided with hand-outs on which classroom discussions and vocabulary development are based. Discussions may be carried and studied through video presentations.
