09/28/2006  Section 4.1 WILL NOT appear on TEST #2.  IMPORTANT:  Be sure you know how to calculate the difference quotient for a quadratic function.  This will surely be on the test.  See the bottom of page 54 in the text.  Be able to compute the difference quotient for a function like f(x) = 5x^2-x+8.

The Final Exam for the Mon/Wed MAC 1140 class i.e. (CRN: 13943) will be held on Wed. Dec. 13, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our regular classroom.

The Final Exam for the Tues/Thurs MAC 1140 class i.e. (CRN: 19039) will be held on Thurs. Dec. 14, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our regular classroom.
