Current Announcements

11/29/2006     I posted the HW for section 5.4.  There are great integral problems (both definite and indefinite) in this HW for extra practice including integrals involving trig functions (see comment in red for section 5.4). 

11/27/2006     Test 4 will cover sections 4.10, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5 and will be on Dec. 4th during class.  See the study guide for help. 

09/07/2006     The Final Exam for MAC 2311 (CRN: 13812) will be held on Monday December 11, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  in our regular classroom.

11/15/2006      The next quiz is due on Monday November 20, 2006.  I will be collecting the HW on section 5.5  for this quiz.  It will count as TWO quiz grades so be sure to do it.  The HW for section 5.5 include problems 1, 3, 6, 11, 15, 19, 21, 27, 28, 32, 69, 71, 72, 73, 74. 

11/02/2006      Please complete the derivative worksheet by clicking here.  This worksheet is due on Wednesday November 8, 2006 and will count as THREE homework assignments.  You really don't want to miss out on this as it has the potential to bring down your HW grade since it counts triple.  ***Remember that the derivative of e^x is e^x and that the derivative of ln(x) is 1/x.***      

10/25/2006     Homework:  Please do problems #74 and #75 in the supplementary problems packet.  This HW is due on Monday October 30, 2006. 

10/09/2006    Homework:  Please do problem #49 (parts a and c only) on page 196 in the textbook.  This HW is due on Wednesday October 11, 2006 and is important to understand completely for the upcoming test next Monday.  You may wish to refer to Example 2 on the bottom of page 191 for help as you solve this problem.  (Hint: for part c, the particle speeds up when velocity and acceleration have the same sign i.e. both positive or both negative.  The particle slows down when the velocity and acceleration are opposite in sign i.e. one positive and the other negative).

09/20/2006    Homework:  Please do problem #58 in the supplementary problems packet.  This HW is due on Monday September 25, 2006.

09/13/2006    Homework:  Please do problems #38 through #41 inclusive in the supplementary problems packet.  This HW is due on Monday September 18, 2006.
