1. Obtain a DOS boot disk (Win 95, 98, Caldera, etc. www.bootdisk.com) 2. Copy the contents of the pqdi folder to a floppy disk and label the disk "pqdi 2002" ***Note*** There is one hidden file (PQDI.RTC) in the pqdi folder; if you don't copy this file to your floppy, the program won't work! 3. Ensure that your modular bay hard drive (with the laptop image files on it) is inserted, and then boot your laptop with the DOS boot disk from the parallel cable floppy drive 4. When you get an A:\ prompt, insert the pqdi 2002 floppy disk and then type "pqdi" (no quotes!) 5. When the Drive Image 2002 program screen appears, use the tab key (or the mouse if your bootdisk loads it) to select the Restore Image button and then hit the enter key 6. At the Select Image File screen, tab to the browse button and hit enter. Tab to the Drives drop down list and then use the down arrow to select the modular hard drive (this should look like this: \\.\disk2.part1... 7. Tab to the image file (should be "isfts dell latitude c60x.pqi") and ensure that it appears in the box just under File Name, then tab to the OK button and hit enter 8. Read the Image file comments and ensure it is the correct one for the platform (c600 or c610) you are using. Tab to the Next button and hit enter. 9. At the Select Destination Drive screen, tab to Disk 1 select it, then tab to the Next button and hit enter. 10. At the next screen, you'll have to use the Delete Disk Partitions button to delete all partitions on the internal drive (Disk 1). Hit the Close button once you've deleted all partitions and then tab to the Next button and hit enter. 11. At the Select Disk Write Mode screen, select Safe Mode and then tab to Next and hit enter (this will take longer to restore, but will recover if bad sectors are present on the destination disk. 12.Tab to Finish and hit enter--you can unplug the parallel floppy drive now and start the procedure on another system. It should take between 12 and 30 minutes to restore the image to the local system.
