Grades |
Examinations:
Six examinations will be administered during the
semester. Each exam may consist of multiple-choice
questions.
Papers: Each student will
write two application papers this semester. The purpose of
each paper will be to evaluate your ability to apply
psychological principles to the assignment (grammar, spelling
and formatting will be graded). The paper will be 1 1/2 to 2
pages in length, double-spaced, with twelve point font.
Students will receive a maximum of fifty points for each
paper. The cumulative score for the papers will equal to one
examination score.
Extra-credit: A student may
earn up to thirty-five points for excellent attendance,
participation, and punctuality. These behaviors demonstrate how
serious you are about the class.

The Valencia faculty have defined four interrelated competencies
(Value, Think, Communicate, and Act) that prepare students to
succeed in the world community. These competencies are outlined in
the College Catalog. In this course, through classroom lecture and
discussion, group work, and other learning activities, you will
further develop your mastery of these core competencies.
