Course Description: Life-oriented course in psychology, designed
to give the student factual information in the techniques and
vocabulary of psychology and a general understanding of human behavior.
Survey, research and application of psychology in the areas of
learning, intelligence, motivation, emotion, personality, behavior

Exams:
Four examinations will be administered during the semester. Each
exam will consist of multiple-choice and short answer questions.

Consultations:
Each student will select one topic from the syllabus that they are most interested
in researching. Before researching the topic
the student will make an appointment and attend a consultation
with the professor (5/ 159). An appointment will last
approximately twenty minutes.
Prior
to the consultation the student will read the chapter related to
the topic taht they have selected. During the consultation the
student ant the professor will discuss research options. The
student will research the topic and write a five page,
double-spaced paper, in twelve-point font, utilizing APA style,
with at least five references. Each student will share their
research findings utilizing a 10 - 20 minute PowerPoint
Presentation with the class.
