End Citations (Works Cited)

At the end of the essay, it is necessary to identify the source in enough detail so the reader can find the exact location of the information. The generic format for this is:

Lastname, Firstname. Title. Publishing Info.

Notice that the listing is set in essentially three entires separated by periods.

There is such a wide variety of source types, though, the layout of a specific entry may vary greatly. Here are some specific examples:

Internet sources

Note the date of access and the hypertext in <>. Multiple line entries have a hanging indent.

The publishing info includes magazine, date, colon, page numbers.
