"Dawn Does the Job"

There is not too many name brand products that I will not replace with a different one if I can find something cheaper. I can probably count them on two hands. One product I refuse to substitute is Dawn dish soap. In my opinion, it truly does work like the advertisement says it will.

Doing dishes is, by fat, one of my least liked chores. Especially ports and pans. Having to scrub and scrape a pan to get it clean takes way to much of my time. With Dawn dish soap I never have to scrub or scrape one dish. It cuts through grease in a short amount of time. Therefore, it takes almost no time to wash the dishes.

Not only does it work on dishes, it goes above ad beyond. It will also remove stains from clothes. Grease, blood, grass stains, mud, and even food or juice stains. I have never found a stain that, treated with some Dawn dish soap, would not come out of clothes. It worked wonders on my son's white little league pants.

Also, when it comes to the best value for a dollar, Dawn surpasses any other dish soap I have tried. With Dawn, a little goes a long way. Just a small amount keeps cutting grease, down to the very last dish. A cheaper brand usually looses all its bubbles, if you do not use a massive amount of it, half-way through your stack of dishes. Also, the water usually gets so gross that you have to change the water, or atleast add more soap. I have never had that problem with Dawn. Matter of fact, you really can clean a glass after he pots and pans. And yes, it is true, that glass will be just as clean as the first one you washed. So a bottle of Dawn last a lot longer than any cheap brand you buy, because you use a lot less Dawn per stack of dishes.

Try to buy it when it is on sale, ad sometimes you will pay about the same price as cheaper brands. It has a great shelf life, and will not go bad, so it will last forever. While it is on sale is the time to stock up on it, and you will always be getting a better deal.

I may use any brand of laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, cooking oil, can vegetable, or even bread. But, one thing I will always pay the higher price for is Dawn dish soap. It has proven to me that it will always do the job I expect, and pay for.

Comments:

[Graded 4-4 (437w). Though not a strong essay, this is definitely above average.

This essay has good, consistent punctuation (particularly commas) and the spelling is good. The thesis is simply stated and the development of that main point (including examples) remains clear through the writing.

It suffers from a couple sentence fragments (beginning with "Especially" in para. 2 and "Grease" in para. 3). The sentence style and some of the ideas in the essay are repeated. This leads to a monotonous tone and a sense of wordiness: lots of words, but not a lot of information.]
