At first, only the Orientation module opens. You must complete this module, and pass the quiz with a 70 or better to proceed. You can take the quiz as many times as needed, but you must pass it within the first week.
After passing the Orientation Quiz, the other modules open. Notice that each module follows a Chapter in our textbook. And inside each Learning Module you will find a complete course calendar, a discussion, a practice quiz, and in some you will find an assignment.

Look at the calendar. There are 14 copies, one in each Learning Module. And, there is a special current calendar displayed on the Course Content Homepage. It is color-coded for past, present and future.

It should be obvious that I place importance on turning items in on time.

The secret to this course is to follow directions.
You will find your Practice Quizzes and Exams in the Assessment tool. The practice quizzes are also shown in the appropriate Learning Module.

NOTE: The Midterm and Final Exams must be taken at a Testing Center.

Exams are made available for 5 days at all four Valencia Testing
There is a required class discussion for each and every Learning Module. You will find specific instructions on what is required such as how many other class members' postings you read; how many you must post; and how many replies you need to make to others.

There is even grading rubric (table of grading criteria) that you can access. I will use the table when I grade.
Here's an example from the orientation discussion.  Note the hand pointing to the Discussion Form. If you click there, it opens the grading rubric.
Use the Mail tool to send me ALL E-mails concerning this class. I check this e-mail frequently, and will be able to quickly respond from here.

Only use other e-mail addresses when you cannot access WebCT.
When you create a message in the Mail window, you will find an address book by clicking Browse for Recipients.

In the next window, select the class members you wish to mail.

Many of your windows will have more information than you can see in one window.  Note the small page icon at the bottom right. Click on this icon and change the number to 50 so that you can scroll down in one long page instead of moving from page-to-page and scrolling.

Syllabus

Review the syllabus carefully. It covers my grading criteria, and the policies of this course. I have placed the Syllabus in the Orientation Module, and on the Course Tools.

The calendar is also repeated on the Syllabus.

Assignments

Each assignment will have specific instructions on what is required.  Read these carefully. In addition, I often attach additional information such as the Word Flyer.pdf shown here from Project 1.

Download and read these materials.

All assignments will have an Add Attachments button that allows you to upload your work to me.

In addition, there is a Submit button that releases the project to me for grading. Always make sure to both Upload and Submit your work.
