Minimal math calculation will be required

Be advised that you will need to ask for aPTT's, INR's, and expect to see Platlets on your labs if you are giving Heparin.

It will be expressed in seconds.

For Insulin, you will need to assess the blood sugar! 

Don't panic,  just know if they are within normal limits and you are fine!

Please make appropriate assessments for clients receiving anti coags...ie (bleeding gums, blood in the urine?....)

Same for Insulin...can they eat?  Is food there...?

Reminder: Lab coats and name tags!!
