Final ProjectWhat did you learn?

 

For this project you are going to select a Beginning Algebra topic that you are interested in and create a real world problem from data.  Some of the topics include graphing, solving for unknowns, factoring, radicals, etc..  You may work in a group of 2 or 3 or complete the project on your own. 

 

 1) Introduction: Write a paragraph explaining the topic, why you chose your topic, and its applications in the real world. 

Also: The uniqueness/difficulty of the project will be assessed (20 points).

 

 

    2)  Write the problem:  Write the problem as a test or homework question in the context of the real world. (20 points)

 

 

  3) Solution:  Complete the solution for the problem including a graph, the calculus worked out, and the answer in a complete sentence. (30 points)

 

 

   4) Reflection: Write a paragraph reflecting on your group project experience and your experience in the course including all materials, assessments, WebCT6 component, instruction, examples, and content.  Please be honest and list your likes and dislikes.  Feedback will be used to improve course, so you are helping future classes.  (20 points).

 

 

5) Presentation: Group (you) will present the project to the class. (10 points)
